Mtre Matteau holds a degree in civil law from the University of Ottawa, with Cum Laude distinction. Following the licence, she obtained a graduate certificate with highest distinction from the Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II, where she studied various commercial law regimes. During her studies, Mtre Matteau took part in various international and comparative law projects in both official languages, such as the world’s largest pleading competition, Phillip C. Jessup moot competition.
Having been involved in the community since the beginning of her studies, Mtre Matteau has taken on many roles, including that of President of the Association des Étudiants de l’École du Barreau en Outaouais.
